I have three priorities in my life, that guide and direct both my personal and professional life. God, Family and my Calling. As a Christian is through salvation that that I am reconciled with God, freed from the power of sin, and granted eternal life. This gift, offered through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, embodies God's unconditional love and grace. It holds profound significance because it assures that all believers of forgiveness, restores their relationship with God, and provides hope for a life beyond this world. I have faithfully committed my life to serve him and although I fall short often, I know that I am saved by his grace.
My family means everything to me—they are my unwavering source of love, encouragement, and inspiration. No matter what challenges arise, knowing my girls are by my side brings me a deep sense of stability and peace. My wife plays an essential role in keeping me grounded, striking a balance between my responsibilities and personal well-being. She gently reminds me to slow down when life feels overwhelming, helping me stay focused on what’s truly important. The joy I feel watching my daughters thrive—whether playing sports, performing in theater, or just being their playful, silly selves—keeps me connected to what matters most. Their presence recharges me, giving me the strength, clarity, and motivation I need to move forward with purpose.
Throughout my career, I've felt a strong sense of purpose in serving others, particularly those in crisis. My journey began as a Marine during Operation Iraqi Freedom, and that experience shaped my commitment to advocating for vulnerable populations. Today, I serve as the Chief Operating Officer of the Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry (ABCCM), where I oversee seven ministries aimed at providing essential support to families in need. Whether addressing food insecurity, homelessness, or access to healthcare, my mission is to bring hope and dignity to those facing hardship.
One of my proudest accomplishments has been scaling ABCCM's Veterans programs to a $10.5M portfolio , growing our services to meet the needs of our heroes. This effort was deeply personal for me as a Veteran myself, and it was an honor both develop and expand support for veterans across North Carolina through initiatives like NCServes and NCCARE360, pioneering new approaches to coordinated care.
My work has always been rooted in a desire to drive systemic change. From my time with the North Carolina Department of Military and Veterans Affairs to my leadership roles in community health and Veterans' services, I've dedicated myself to being a voice for those who too often go unheard. This calling continues to inspire me as I strive to improve lives and empower communities.
For eight years, I had the privilege of living my childhood dream as a professional hunting and fishing guide, experiencing firsthand what makes America so extraordinary. Whether it was chasing bears in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, stalking elk in Colorado, fly fishing for brook trout in the Smokies, or hooking Mako sharks on a fly rod off the coast of San Diego, I was constantly immersed in the beauty and adventure of our country. Along the way, I forged incredible friendships filled with unforgettable stories (and the occasional tall tale). During those years of exploration and excitement, I came to a profound realization: I owed a debt of gratitude to the country that allowed me to live such a fulfilling life. It was this understanding that inspired my commitment to give back and serve in a meaningful way.
